The world’s most expensive leg of ham has gone on sale in London — for a whopping £1,800.
The 7kg Albarragena Jamon Iberico de Bellota Ham is so posh that it even comes with its own DNA certificate as proof of authenticity.
It is sold by Selfridges encased in a hand crafted beech wood box and even comes wrapped in cloth which doubles as an apron and is made by Spain’s oldest tailor.

The first Earth-like planet outside the solar system will have been discovered by the end of the year, one of the world’s leading astronomers said yesterday.
Professor Michel Mayor, the scientist in charge of the team who detected the first extrasolar planet in 1995, claimed that the chance of finding a planet that is habitable for humans is now imminent.

Broadband supplier says DPI detection can sniff out pirates in seconds, but campaigners say the program breaches privacy rules
For Alan Ellis, last week was a good one: he was acquitted of conspiracy to commit fraud. The prosecution had argued that the 26-year-old received at least £190,000 in donations to Oink, his filesharing website. Until Oink was shut down in 2007, it had, the crown claimed, helped 200,000 users illegally to download 21m copyrighted music tracks.

At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week a blizzard of TV innovations were unveiled to bring high tech 3D, video chat and internet capabilities to the humble box in the corner.

Over a third of SMEs are wary of using Facebook for business networking, refusing to add business contacts as ‘friends’.
However just under half of small businesses quizzed by online sales leads and business referrals network WeCanDo.biz said they conducted their professional networking on business-focused networking sites such as LinkedIn and Xing and WeCanDo.biz.
