It’s hard times for young school-leavers at the moment, the economic crisis has taken its toll and the news is all doom and gloom with statistics showing unbelievably high levels of youth unemployment. So we ‘re doing our bit and as part of our commitment to fostering new talent in our hometown, we’re giving our help and services to the students of our local school – Passmores Academy, Harlow. (the school made famous in the channel four award winning documentary ‘Educating Essex’

Mulberry Advertising is going back to school and has set a brief for the pupils of Passmores Academy, Harlow. This is the school featured in last year’s Channel 4 programme Educating Essex. The reason? Mulberry’s Young Marketeer 2013 award. Over the next three months Mulberry is coaching and working with the pupils on a set project, which forms part of their BTEC work. Look at this! In a bid to promote their new monitors, LG decided to scare office workers by fitting the displays to the floor of an elevator. They run footage on the screens making it look like the floor of the lift is collapsing.

Would you be Bond enough? Location – Antwerp railway station, Belgium.
After using a Coke Zero machine in the station, unsuspecting travellers were asked via a touch screen if they wanted to win exclusive tickets to SKYFALL.
Once they gave their name they were then told they had 70 seconds to get to platform 6. That didn’t sound too difficult, but as with all Bond tasks – it wasn’t as easy as it seemed with obstacles slowing down would be 007’s mission to reach platform 6. Read the rest of this entry »

There’s a new underground movement operating on the London… underground.
Their intentions are to raise smiles and giggles from commuters.
The rebel gagsters call themselves “Stickers on The Central line” and claim to be responsible for the beautification of the trains and stations. They have been slapping stickers over the information signs on trains, reserving spots for smelly commuters, drinkers and even a Royal seat reserved for Her Majesty the Queen’s bottom. Google have opened their doors for the first time to offer a glimpse into their huge data centres, which power the online world. With hundreds of thousands of servers, multi-coloured cables and bicycles for engineers so they can get from one end of the centre to the other, it looks more like a film set from a sci-fi movie than a server centre. The owners of Campbell’s soup were not always so happy with Andy Warhol’s
Silkscreen art of their cans, but times change and they are now offering, limited-edition, Campbell’s soup cans featuring authentic reproductions of Andy Warhol’s 1960’s labels, complete with his reproduced signature. If you’d like to invest, Barney’s of New York are offering the cans at $12 each or if you are a serious art dealer $48 for a set of four.
